With the summer holidays around the corner, the school have been busy between end of year tests and school tours. No matter how busy it gets in the school, there is always time for Sports Day 🙂
On a beautiful hot summers day, the pupils took part in the annual sports day in Father Ferris field next to the school. Pupils took part in running races, sack races and egg, spoon races and even a slow bicycle race.
The junior classes of the school had an afternoon of fun games in the field, while the senior classes took part in the Superstar competition. The day was a great success and created fun memories for the pupils.
The school is proud as always to hold a HB ice cream day to raise funds for Down Syndrome Ireland, as other years it was held on sports day, ideal for the high temperatures experienced on the day.
Go raibh math agat to all parents and pupils who donated money for the occasion, and to the parents association for serving ice cream to the very happy pupils :).
Well done to all pupils who took part and congratulations to those who won medals.
