We held Friendship Week this week in school as part of our continuing efforts under SPHE to promote inclusion, friendship, kindness, anti-bullying and positive activities which promoted the above important values.
First class made two new pupils for the class and decorated some beautiful frames to remember that we are friends forever.
Juniors, second class and Le Chéile buddied up for some reading and play.
2nd class met Katie Kindness and had lesson about friendship.
4th class made some keys to unlock friendship.
6th class became buddies with senior infants for some outdoor games.
Rang a 1 buddied up with rang a 3 and rang a 5 made friends with juniors.
On Thursday 18th of June, the whole school community gathered to celebrate the raising of the schools fifth green flag.
Each class sang a song about helping the earth and how to be a good global citizen.
Pupils dressed in green or wore superhero costumes!
Special guest, Cork hurler Niall O Leary, came to raise the flag with the pupils from the Green School Commitee.
To mark the day, 2nd class planted two apple trees next to the path of the entrance to the school.

A cake which was kindly gifted to the staff by a parent to bring the school year to a sweet finish !
